For new and curious readers, I reccomend this article on what a mobile phone is.
Unlike my console collection, I only put things I particulairly treasure here and not every single old phone I have laying around. I only recently started keeping track of these as they've been slowly piling up and I've been developing more of an appreciation for them :p

I actually have two of these! One is basically a family heirloom, the other was rescued from e-waste ages ago. I only have one (rather meek) battery compatible with it, so I have to swap them to use it. One of them allegedly fell down the 4th floor onto concrete and nothing happened to it. They used to build things better!
Unlike most phones I've got, this thing actually has a really nice Android skin. Brought down by the tiny resistive screen, but still. Makes lots of funky futuristic noises and it has this cool blue theme to it. It's a Sony!

Got this one at CeX for like nothing because I found it kinda funny. One of the few here I've actually daily driven as a phone for a bit ^^. I wrote a whole blog post about it. Might be my favourite from all of these! It's actually very usable today, provided your area still supports the 2/3G network. I've installed a couple old android apps and games on it, and it's pretty good for bad digital photography :p

Rescued from e-waste, although this one is quite lacking. No backplate or battery. Couldn't stop me from testing it out though (see: picture to the left). Via taping in a mismatched battery with the right specs I managed to power it on and see if it works. And indeed it does! Not sure if I'll ever find replacement parts for it but I'll keep trying. Lots of funny photos on it.

Not sure of its exact circumstances but it was given to me, rescued from e-waste!
Potentially to show Steve Jobs his place, Nokia graciously included a stylus with this thing. Symbian is absolutely awful but, as it's name might imply, the speakers on it aren't half bad. It had a load of old Black Eyed Peas MP3s and photos of emo haircuts on it. I wonder who owned it before me.

Saw this stupid pink guy in the window of a pawn shop while on a walk and I could not look past it. Got it for half price too cuz it's got a T-Mobile simlock (thank god I don't intend to put a real sim card in it!) :D.
It's got really bad software. Old versions of Samsung TouchWiz are quite funny. Each key on the calculator app and number dial produces a different tone. It's great. And speaking of dials, the volume indicator is a CIRCLE. And it has a little mirror on the back for selfies. Just a great little thing.
